About this grade
HonestBind A 1610 solves the problem waterborne wood systems are famous for: tannin and knot bleed staining pale topcoats on oak, merbau, cedar, and knotty pine. Its cationic charge immobilizes anionic wood extractives at the interface while the self-crosslinking acrylic film seals them in, keeping whites white after the second rainy season.
Formulate it as a dedicated blocking primer — do not blend it into anionic systems, as the charges will shock — and overcoat with any of our wood finishes. Low-VOC, APEO-free, and formaldehyde-free, it replaces solvent-based stain blockers in eco-labeled joinery lines.
