About this grade
HonestBind A 1135 is the elastomeric sibling of our facade acrylics. With a Tg of −22 °C it produces films that stretch across live hairline cracks and recover, season after season, instead of telegraphing every substrate movement through the finish. It is the base for crack-bridging facade paints, flexible intermediate coats, and elastomeric render systems.
Formulators should manage dirt pick-up with hard mineral fillers and surface additives, as with any elastomeric binder; the light residual tack of the soft film is the trade-off for its elongation. Blending with HonestBind SA 2140 is the standard way to dial hardness upward. APEO-free, formaldehyde-free, and suitable for low-VOC elastomeric systems.
